Allen High School isn’t just home to an amazing football team, but very well the best robotics team in the WORLD.
A team of nine students from Allen High School called 15083 Overclock are headed to compete on one of the biggest stages in student engineering: the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship.
The competition involves two robots pitted against each other, required the teams to complete tasks with precise, coordinated strategies in real time.
Senior and team captain Vedant Mohapatra told WFAA, “This year, our goal is to intake balls off the floor and shoot them into a goal while accounting for the pattern we sort the balls in.
“The balls are different colors.”
The team will operate the robot they’ve developed, “Glitch.”
The FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship begins tomorrow in Houston.
