When you're looking for an exotic vacation destination, you don't need to worry about booking expensive plane tickets or taking a lot of time off from work. Just hop in the car and head down to the Hill Country.
CNN Travel just named the Texas Hill Country as one of the best places to travel in the world, alongside 23 other destinations, including Greece, Morocco, Panama, and Greenland!
The Hill Country was only one of just three spots in the U.S. to make the list, which also included Northwest Michigan and Florida's freshwater springs.
CNN Travel said the list was compiled in order to highlight "places that are still largely undiscovered, or alluring in the offseason, or frequently overlooked for their larger first cities or neighbors."
For the Hill Country, they mentioned springs, trails, wineries, dance halls and more as reasons to pay a visit.
