DoorDash is definitely convenient when you desperately need something but have no willpower to leave the house and drive anywhere.
Well, it’s convenient unless you’re planning on doing anything illicit with said DoorDashed items.
42-year-old Neil Cooper was arrested at a motel in Sweetwater, TX after a DoorDash driver grew suspicious over some of the things he wanted delivered.
Witnesses told KRBC some of these items included trash bags, zip ties, bleach, a hatchet, and more.
When officers arrived at Cooper’s room at the Sweetwater Inn, he refused to let them and in and said he had a weapon. So officers forced their way in, and lo and behold, inside the room was man who had been taken hostage by Cooper.
Cooper was arrested and is facing charges of aggravated kidnapping, though more may come.
The hostage was rescued…and then arrested for an outstanding warrant for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 out of Snyder as well. He’s also charged with Failure to Identify.
