Study names Texas the second most Pokémon card-obsessed state in the nation

Did you know that tomorrow is Pokémon Day?

If you’re not a fan of the series and don’t spend your days trying to catch ‘em all, you probably had no idea.

Chances are though you know someone who is a big fan of the franchise as Texas was ranked one of the most Pokémon card-obsessed states in the nations.

In the new study, conducted by DuelBits, Texas ranked as the second most Pokémon card-obsessed state in the nation, trailing only California.

According to the study, Texas generated 1.198 million Pokémon card-related searches last year, equating to 99,860 searches every month.

Californians searched for Pokémon cards 1,792,800 times, about 149,400 per month.

The most popular character searched for by Texans was Charizard, with 2,900 searches made on average per month, followed by Pikachu (1,600 searches), and Mewtwo (880 searches).
