Detention Deputy Karla Beltran was fired by the Bexar County Sheriff's Office after she posed for pictures with several jail inmates, including one where she displayed her middle fingers.

According to News 4 San Antonio, the images depict Beltran sitting in front of a window into an inmate holding area. Inmates can be seen on the other side of the window, posing with Beltran for the photos, including one flashing their middle fingers.

It is unclear who took the photos.

Beltran had been on the job for just over 100 days, having started her service on July 1.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office issued this statement:

Deputy Karla Beltran, an 18-year-old female, had less than a year of employment with the BCSO as a detention deputy and was terminated under probationary dismissal. Regarding the pictures, how they were taken, by whom, and where they were posted is being investigated. There are no criminal charges pending at this time in relation to this incident.
