When you ask a teen or young adult what they want to do with their lives, you’ll probably hear an overwhelming desire to become a social media influencer. It looks like barely a job, right?
Well, there are few states where that career is desired more than in Texas, according to a new study from the online casino comparison website Kajino.
The website analyzed nationwide Google searches for keywords related to becoming an influencer over the past year and found that Texas ranked ninth in the station for residents most wanting to become influencers.
Texas averaged 63.1 monthly searches per 100k residents, which is 18% higher than the US average of 53.5.
The top ten states most wanting to become influencers included:
1 – Florida (79.8)
2 – Georgia (78.2)
3 – New York (75.9)
4 – Utah (72.1)
5 – Nevada (71.0)
6 – New Jersey (70.3)
7 – Delaware (66.7)
8 – California (64.9)
9 – Texas (63.1)
10 – North Carolina (61.8)
On the other end of the spectrum, the state that wants to become an influencer the least is New Mexico, with only 33.8 searches per 100k, which is 37% below the US average.
