It's evident that nobody takes their gingerbread houses as seriously as folks in Williamson County, just north of Austin.

Deanna Vaters and her husband Paul recreated the Bastrop, TX Buc-ee's in gingerbread house form, complete with cars visiting the gas pumps and even tiny cutouts of her coworkers.  Vaters has worked for the Williamson County Tax Assessors Office for the last six years.

Vaters told NBC DFW that before she began working for the Tax Assessors office, she would construct these elaborate gingerbread houses at her others jobs.

She said, "We love it. My husband and I love it.  We love doing stuff for coworkers. Wherever we work we like to incorporate any kind of Christmas. We enjoy making people happy and people really appreciate it."

The Buc-ee's gingerbread house is now on display at the tax office, located at 904 S. Main St. in Georgetown.
