Fort Worth police officers are on the lookout for a pair of thieves who stole thousands of dollars' worth of trees from The Tree Place.
Surveillance video from the morning of October 12 shows the two suspects creeping into the nursery before grabbing a tree in each hand and taking off.
Matthew Hafkesbring, Operations Manager at The Tree Place, told NBC DFW, "It's unfortunate, but it's part of life unfortunately. Took plants from the front and the back, they even tried to break into one of our buildings in the back of the nursery here."
Between the stolen products and the damage to the property (the suspects tore open a chain link fence to enter the premises), The Tree Place said they were out at least $10,000.
The police say the suspects weren't covering their faces in the surveillance video, and that they recovered one of their cell phones at the scene.
