Construction workers have been hard at work on the 60-mile public trail that will connect Fort Worth to Dallas. However, the trail can't be completed until it is given an official title. That's why The North Central Texas Council of Governments has decided to ask the public for help picking a name for the trail.

The public trail that spans from Fort Worth, Arlington, Grand Prairie, Irving and Dallas is currently open, as 50 miles of the path have been completed so far. However, the trail is still nameless and DFW has the chance to pick what it will be called. The North Central Texas Council of Governments has set up a virtual public feedback forum where locals can choose between two trail names and logo options as well as provide input on points of interest along the trail.

While the trail is currently open, it is not expected to be completed until 2024. According to Dallas Morning News, the trail is intended to be a tourist, recreational and event attraction for the community. Hopefully it ends up with a name that reflects that.
