You may want to hold off on those homemade tuna salad sandwiches.

Tri-Union Seafoods has issued a recall on certain tuna products, some of which are sold at stores in Texas, over concerns of a botulism outbreak.

The recall is out of an "abundance of caution," according to the Dallas Morning News, after Tri-Union Seafoods' supplier notified the company that their easy-open cans could potentially be "defective."

The company says a leak in the can could result in the product leaking or even clostridium botulinum contamination, otherwise known as botulism. Botulism can cause "difficulty breathing, muscle paralysis and even death," according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The affected cans of tuna include H-E-B label tuna and Genova 5 oz. cans sold at H-E-B, Kroger, Walmart and other retailers.

No illnesses thus far have been reported, but those that feel ill should seek medical attention.
