Firefighters in Fort Worth were called to an abandoned grain silo near Interstate 35 and Allen Avenue just before midnight on Wednesday after reports that a man had fallen in.
Two friends, who fancy themselves urban explorers, were traversing the silo when one of them tried climbing an unstable ladder, which resulted in him falling ten stories down the silo which ended with him breaking his legs and sustaining other injuries.
According to WFAA, authorities had to perform a "high-angle rescue" to safely remove him from the silo.
The man was transferred to the hospital in serious condition.
