Last month, a freight train arrived in Dallas from Los Angeles that contained two pallets of male adult toys, worth an estimated $250,000.
There was just one problem, the toys were nowhere to be found.
According to KTLA, container seals were broken and several shipments stolen “somewhere between the product’s departure from L.A. and arrival in Dallas.”
The CEO of Ohdoki, the Norway-headquartered “toy” manufacturer said thefts of these kinds of products are on the rise.
He said in a statement, “It’s one of those situations you never think you will find your company in. While we know our customers enjoy products that are far more technologically advanced than what has been historically available, we also know that it raises our profile for thieves seeking high-end tech devices,” he said. “Thankfully, we have a fully stocked supply of our products, and our current business won’t be interrupted at this time, but we are hoping to work with authorities to determine how this situation happened and what the process moving forward will be.”
The stolen goods have yet to be tracked down.
