Drones are the way of the future.  Packages are already being delivered to our homes with drones, and we venture it won't be long before people will be able to be delivered as well.

Hey, drones don't have to worry about traffic on 75.

As such, we're going to need a lot more drone pilots in the next couple of years, which is why UTA has announced they will be offering a new drone course that's the first of its kind in the state of Texas.

According to FOX 4, this is the first year UTA has added a drone course to their curriculum so students can obtain their pilot's license.

The program is tailored to engineering students.

Dr. Zhe Yin, the professor of the course, says that the program will set students apart from other competition in corporate America.

"If they are able to use it for their work, you can do 3D mapping, you can use the drone for construction inspection. They can certainly use it for other commercial purposes," he said.

The students will take their FAA test at the end of the semester.
