Going to a pumpkin patch is a fall tradition many families look forward to every year. However, for some that visited a Texas pumpkin patch over the weekend, the trip ended up costing them a little more than just the entrance fee. As seen in a video that has since gone viral, 73 vehicles went up in smoke as a fire burned through the pumpkin patch.
Guests at Robinson Family Farm, near Temple, got a little more excitement than they were expecting on Saturday during a trip to the pumpkin patch. A fire broke out on the farm, taking out 73 vehicles that were parked on the property. While some were able to get their cars away from the fire in time, others weren’t so lucky, as explosions and thick black smoke took over the area.

“It looked like something out of a war zone,” said John Bessick. According to Fort Worth Star Telegram no one was injured by the fire. Investigators believe the fire was started by a cigarette. At least for some, they now have an excuse to never go to a pumpkin patch again.
