North Texas will soon be home to another professional sports franchise.

The Pro Volleyball Federation and Major League Volleyball have recently announced a merger into a unified league known as the MLV, and they’ve announced a new franchise will be founded in Dallas.

According to WFAA, currently the MLV has eight franchises across the country: Atlanta, Columbus, Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Omaha, Orlando, San Diego and Vegas.

Dallas will join the league in 2026, with franchises in Washington D.C. and Northern California joining in 2027.

The 2026 league schedule is expected to be released in late September to early October, with the season starting in January 2026.
