Finding success in Texas has proven to be a difficult task for plenty of businesses, as for many products; most Texans already have their local favorites. While a number of companies have tried and failed, more and more continue to attempt to win over the Lone Star state. Now, the oldest brewery in the country, and east coast favorite, Yuengling Beer has decided to venture westward and has announced they will start their expansion in Texas.
Yuengling beer, the Pennsylvania based brewery is the oldest brewery in the country, but is currently only available in 22 states. Back in 2020, the brewery teamed up with Molson Coors to expand throughout the country. “We have heard from consumers all over the country who are excited to enjoy our beer, which is why we’re proud to announce that Texas will be the first western state we’ll be expanding to," said Wendy Yuengling, the company’s chief administrative officer.
Molson Coors will brew the popular beer at their brewery in Fort Worth. Many Texans who have had the beer previously shared their excitement on social media. While many local favorites will remain, Yuengling is hoping a few decide to find space in the fridge for their cans.
