Jeopardy! executive producer Mike Richards is set to host the daily syndicated program and “Big Bang Theory” actress Mayim Bialik will host primetime and spin-off specials of the quiz show, The Daily Beast and Associated Press report.

Alex Trebek served as the legendary host of the show for 36 years. Since his death in 2020, multiple guest-hosts have gunned for the position, including Joe Buck, LeVar Burton, Savannah Guthrie, Bill Whitaker, Anderson Cooper, and George Stephanopoulos.

In August, Mike Richards, who at the time was reportedly in advanced negotiations to become the next successor, defended himself against past discrimination lawsuits.

The lawsuits in question, which date back to 2010 and 2011, allege that Richards mistreated colleagues while serving as an executive producer on “The Price Is Right.”

“I want you all to know that the way in which my comments and actions have been characterized in these complaints does not reflect the reality of who I am or how we worked together on ‘The Price is Right,’” he continued.

He added, “I know firsthand how special it is to be a parent. It is the most important thing in the world to me. I would not say anything to disrespect anyone’s pregnancy and have always supported my colleagues on their parenting journeys.”

Bialik, who guest-hosted the show on May 31, later said it was an "immense honor" to take over the podium that Trebek once stood.

"This is such an iconic and unbelievable piece of our collective culture, to be considered to be part of it really in any way, it's an immense honor," she said. "Especially for someone who's dedicated so much of my life to academia to knowing things and to being able to communicate things."

The 45-year-old actress has her Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA.
