Several videos of a racially-charged altercation between a Black family and a white woman in Discovery Bay are making the rounds on social media with users quickly labeling the woman another "Karen."
The argument appears to have started when the unidentified white woman accused the Black family’s dog, a Pitbull, of attacking her smaller dog moments earlier. In the videos, shared thousands of times after they were posted late Monday, the woman can be seen holding her small dog while brandishing what looks to be a Taser outside the Black family’s front door.
"You’re a Black person in a white neighborhood and you’re acting like one," she said. "Why don’t you act like a white person in a white neighborhood?"
These videos contain sensitive language.
She threatened to call the police as she was asked to leave the property several times. "Keep it up. It’s all on camera," the Black homeowner replied, pointing to his front door recording devices.
"You know what? You guys are acting like Black people," she said in one of the videos. The woman went on to explain that she "was raised in Oklahoma City where there were tons of Black people," adding that she has "a top-secret clearance," but failed to explain what that meant.
Jariell Jones, who shared the videos on her Twitter account, posted this message: "I am TIRED of living this way. I am TIRED of passive aggressiveness. I am TIRED of the fake smiles. I am TIRED that I don’t feel safe in a house that I’ve lived in for 10+ years cause of the color of my skin."
Jones also tweeted that the woman "charged after me and my brother multiple times with a taser, got in our face, yelled racial slurs at us."
Gerritt Jones told ABC7 his family has lived in the neighborhood for 12 years and has never had any issues with the woman, identified as Adana Dean. "She had a stun gun. Had I, had my sister, had any of us gotten physical...with her, the story would have been 'Hey, this Black family is assaulting this white lady in the streets," Jones told the station.
It's not clear where the two houses are located in proximity to one another.
"You’re gonna go to hell because I’m gonna sue the hell out of you, both of you, all of you," the woman said before walking away.
There’s no indication police were ever called.
