Javon Green was arrested in Pittsburg on Thursday night.

He was the person of interest police had been looking for identified in a still from video footage released on Thursday. Police obtained a search and arrest warrant for Green after identifying probable cause, and served it just before 8 p.m. on the 1000 block of Power Avenue in Pittsburg.

Green has been charged with homicide, possession of a weapon and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Green's arrest comes just after the identity of the man fatally shot was confirmed by San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office in an email to KCBS Radio on Friday morning.

Police responded to a shooting on a Muni train between the city's Forest Hills and Castro stations just before 10 a.m. on Wednesday. One victim, a 70-year-old man, was transported to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries while the other, Nesta Bowen, 27, died at the scene.

Bowen was born in Oakland but grew up in Stockton, Bowen's father, George Bowen, told the San Francisco Chronicle on Thursday. His mother passed away four years ago from cancer. Bowen was passionate about making music. His parents were both involved in the music scene and he followed suit, working as a producer and rapper.

He also took graphic art classes and was most recently employed at the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department, the paper reported.
