1THING: Join Earth Hour This Saturday By Turning Off Your Lights For One Hour

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - On Saturday, March 30th, people around the world are turning off their lights for one hour to speak up about why nature matters.

From 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday night, you can join the movement too by turning off all of your lights for one solid hour, known as Earth Hour.

According to their website, Earth Hour began in 2007 and is now the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment. The goal is to inspire “millions of people to take action for our planet and nature.”
