PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Voting looks different for this year's primary elections in Pennsylvania.

COVID-19 mitigation efforts are in place at consolidated polling places.

Voters are being encouraged to stay six feet apart and wear a mask. If the person does not have a mask, one will be provided for them.

Also, anyone who doesn't want to risk high-touch surfaces can bring their own pen to vote.

Allegheny County's Amie Downs tells the KDKA Radio Morning Show, "The poll book when they sign in is going to say that they applied for a mail-in or an absentee ballot but they'll need to let the poll workers know that they didn't receive it and they will be allowed to vote a provisional ballot."

Those voter can also vote at the elections office.

Many polling places have been consolidated. Visit here to see where your polling place is.

Duplicate ballots will not be counted. Anyone who received multiple ballots can only vote once because each person has a unique bar code.

Governor Tom Wolf has extended the deadline for receiving ballots in Allegheny County by a weeks, as long as they are postmarked by Tuesday, June 2.

Ballots in other counties still need to be received by today.

Jennifer Bloodworth and Andrew Limberg contributed to this report.
