PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Cases of coronavirus in Western PA continues to rise.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health released numbers on Thursday that shows 1,404 new cases to bring the state total to 8,420 in 63 counties.
A total of 102 have died across the commonwealth
Locally, there are now:
476 cases with two deaths in Allegheny65 with two deaths in Beaver75 with two deaths in Butler40 with zero deaths in Washington110 with zero deaths in Westmoreland11 with zero deaths in Armstrong19 with two deaths in Lawrence10 with no deaths in Mercerseven with no deaths in Indiana11 with no deaths in Greene 20 with one death in Fayettethree with no deaths in Somerset four with no deaths in Cambria
That is a total of 851 cases and nine dead in the area.
Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Beaver County has two deaths due to the virus.
A third was announced by the center on Thursday but it is not known if coronavirus is the cause of death.
On Wednesday, Governor Tom Wolf put the entire state under a Stay-at-Home order.
All non-life essential businesses remain closed to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
