New Castle, Pa (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Five people are facing charges for the kidnap and torture of a woman in Lawrence County.
State Police say the 30 year old woman and her boyfriend were called to a home on Sunny Avenue in the New Castle area last Friday to answer for a large amount of missing money.
That's when the woman whose name isn't released was bound with tape, a clamping tool used on her toe to get her to talk.
Later she was stood against a wall and beaten with wood.
The suspects, four men and a woman held her overnight and forced her to drive to her boyfriend's house in West Virginia.
She was able to text her location to a friend who called 9-1-1.
South Fayette Township police pulled over the car. A large amount of drugs found in a motel room where one of the five was staying.
