PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pittsburgh Public Schools confirms an "inappropriate homework assignment" was given to 1st grade students at Linden PreK-5.
An image of the reading exercise posted on social media features a story about two boys running from a police officer who tells a K-9 officer to "get" the boys.
In a Twitter post, the school district says "the worksheet is not part of the District's curriculum" and an investigation is underway on "the source of the materials."
