Local Student Participating In National Climate Protest

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Students in Pittsburgh are participating in another national protest over climate change Friday.

As leaders from around the world prepare to discuss climate change at a conference in Chile, the group Youth Climate Strike, is coordinating protests today in cities across the U.S., including here in Pittsburgh. 


They say political leaders haven't done enough to take action on climate change. 

The Paris Agreement is part of plan aimed at reversing global warming. 

President Trump has indicated the U.S. will withdraw. 

Other protests across Pennsylvania will take place in Erie, State College, and Philadelphia.
