PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Research into fighting bacteria will be conducted on the International Space Station by three Pitt School of Pharmacy students.
Their specially designed test tube will be in space for four weeks.
Astronauts will conduct the experiment.

One of the students, Anu Patel, tells KDKA radio they used a specially designed test tube that will allow an antibiotic to react with E Coli.
"We only get one tube in space so we're going to compare it to our earth results, we're going to do the same experiment on Earth," said Patel
The experiment will be on board a SpaceX flight when it blasts off from Cape Canaveral Wednesday evening.
