
PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Hoping to improve its on-time performance, The Port Authority of Allegheny County will eliminate some bus stops.
Port Authority buses arrive on time juts 67 percent of the time.
CEO Katharine Kelleman hopes to improve on that by eliminating stops that are redundant or poorly used.
In addition to number of riders, the Authority will look at factors like if a stop is near a hospital, school, church and Senior Center and how accessible it is
The authority hopes to release in December of list of proposed stops to be eliminated.
