PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Cases of coronavirus in Western PA continues to rise, but the jump in numbers isn't as high as it has been over the past few days. 

The Pennsylvania Department of Health released numbers on Friday that shows 1,706 additional cases of coronavirus in the state for a total of 29,441 in all 67 counties.


 A total of 756 have died across the commonwealth.

Locally, there are now:

947 cases with 43 deaths in Allegheny with 10,199 negative tests178 with 15 deaths in Beaver with 1,478 negative tests157 with five deaths in Butler with 1,682 negative tests75 with one death in Washington with 1,320 negative tests249 with 13 deaths in Westmoreland with 3,107 negative tests32 with two deaths in Armstrong with 424 negative tests519 with five deaths in Lawrence with 490 negative tests56 with one deaths in Mercer with 391 negative tests45 with three deaths in Indiana with 390 negative tests24 with zero deaths in Greene with 299 negative tests 66 with three death in Fayette with 1263 negative tests15 with zero deaths in Somerset with 277 negative tests14 with one death in Cambria  with 432

That is a total of 2,377 cases and 92 dead in the area.

Numbers show coronavirus cases starting to slowly plateau in the area with rural area not seeing a many additional cases throughout the week.

Governor Tom Wolf has put the entire state under a Stay-at-Home order, until at least April 30.

All non-life essential businesses remain closed to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
