PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A man and a woman are dead following an apparent murder-suicide in Hays early this morning.
The deaths came after a hostage situation and SWAT callout at a duplex in the 700 block of Baldwin Road.
Police responded around 1:40 a.m.
SWAT officers who made it inside found a woman was shot in the head.
Gas was fired into the home with no effect.
Officers returned hours later to find the man also had a gunshot wound to the head.
A family in the unit next door was evacuated.
