WASHINGTON (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - President Donald Trump has reposted a tweet endorsing Sean Parnell who is running to oppose local Congressman Conor Lamb in the general election.
Parnell is unopposed in the Republican June primary.
Trump called Lamb an "American Fraud" in his tweet.
The president falsely claims in his post that Lamb voted for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House in 2019, but he did not. He voted for Massachusetts Democrat Rep. Joe Kennedy III.
Lamb is a Marine vet and federal prosecutor.
Parnell is an Army Ranger vet who served as a platoon leader during the Afghanistan War.
Parnell is also the bestselling author of the memoir "Outlaw Platoon" and the novel "All Out War".
