PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - It's starting to feel more like January as temperatures will fall below freezing Thursday afternoon, with lows in the teens this weekend.
AccuWeather's Bill Deger tells KDKA Radio's Larry Richert it's been an unusual start to the year.
"The first half of January was about 12 degrees above normal," said Deger. "We had a couple of chilly mornings there in the teens but we also had afternoons in the 60s even that one day that broke the 70 degree mark."
Colder temperatures will bring snow Friday night, accumulating an inch or two before changing to rain on Saturday.
"that's probably all we get before it's washed away by the rain and then another blast of cold comes in Sunday and Monday, perhaps some flurries and snow showers along with it," said Deger.
