The Pennsylvania Resources Council launched a “glass recycling collaborative” to help provide permanent glass recycling stations in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

A ribbon-cutting was held on March 1st at the Village Square Mall to announce the partnership between the PRC and municipalities in Allegheny County.

According to the PRC, residents can drop off all colors of glass bottles, jars and jugs at the first two sites below as part of the new glass recycling network.

“For years, CAP Glass and Michael Brothers Hauling & Recycling have served as essential partners with PRC in glass recycling programs in this region, and we are excited see our partnership expand through the collaborative,” according to PRC Deputy Director Sarah Alessio Shea.

Here are the two locations residents can drop off their recyclables:

VILLAGE SQUARE MALL – launching March 1, 2022 - 5000 Oxford Drive, Bethel Park, PA 15102. Drop off available seven days a week.

MOON TOWNSHIP – launching March 7, 2022 - Public Works Garage lot, 1115 Stevenson Mill Road, Moon Township, PA 15108. Drop off weekdays 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
