Severe thunderstorms hit the Pittsburgh region Wednesday, causing some areas to flood.
The National Weather Service issued a number of warnings and watches that expire at various times throughout the rest of the day and night.
Allegheny County says the weather is affecting the call volume to 911.
Wednesday afternoon, the County tweeted "The 9-1-1 Center is experiencing an increased call volume due to storms with calls heavily concentrated over the eastern areas of the county. Please do not hang up. Remain on the line and your call will be answered."
