Police in Mt. Lebanon are investigating after Anti-Semitic fliers were found in the area.

The fliers were found along Markham, Altadena and Inglewood Drives early Tuesday morning, the same day the anti-defamation league released its annual audit of Anti-Semitic incidents.

Those incidents hit a record-high in 2021, according to the report.

Adam Hertzman with the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh says, that increase is reflected here in our region.

"Unfortunately, Western Pennsylvania has become something of a hot-bed of Anti-Semitism, hatred and white nationalist activity, generally."

The anti-defamation league released its annual audit of Anti-Semitic incidents, and found a 34% increase in 2021 over the previous year.

Hertzman says these issues tend to increase alongside hardship around the world.

"It's probably happening now with the war in Ukraine, inflation going crazy. It's unfortunately a time where people look to groups to blame and that's a time when we see Anti-Semitism on the rise."
