An attempt to censure Allegheny County Council member Bethany Hallam for a remark made at a different board meeting last week failed to make it onto county council’s agenda last night.
The move was in response to remarks Hallam made at a Jail Oversight Board meeting Thursday night.
After a back and forth with Court of Common Pleas Judge Elliot Howsie, Hallam called the judge a name under her breath.
The motion to add a censure vote to council’s agenda last night was introduced by Hallam's Republican counterpart, Sam DeMarco.
The motion failed with a vote of 6-9.
