The Brother's Brother Foundation (BBF) is preparing disaster response kits to help the victims of Hurricane Isaias. The Pittsburgh-based humanitarian organization is readying critical disaster supplies for local frontline partners.
“So right now, we're talking to our partners who are on the ground. And, you know, our goal is to assess needs. So we never want to send anything that is not asked for. So it's critical from our perspective to make sure that anything that we send is requested by the partners. So, you know, it's supporting the work being done and not hindering it in any way” said the foundation's president, Ozzy Samad.
In keeping with its disaster response protocol, BBF has committed 100% of designated relief donations directly toward emergency logistics and on-the-ground recovery aid.
“So right now, we have about 10 pallets of disaster response kits, which are roughly 3,800 somewhere in that range, disaster response kits that, you know, we will ship down to our partners that can be handed out to people who have been impacted or who, you know, we are foreseeing will be impacted” Samad continued.
