A third person has tested positive for COVID-19 at Central Catholic High School. This latest case has prompted school officials to close the high school on Thursday.
The school will not hold online classes Thursday and is scheduled to reopen on Friday following additional cleaning.
"The safety of our community is our utmost priority and we are working closely with the Allegheny County Health Department to take the proper steps to keep our students, staff and faculty safe," said principal Brother Tony Baginski.
