City Council Tuesday issued a proclamation to former KDKA Radio talk show host Chris Moore, who retired in February after more than 30 years on the station.
“I thank you very much for this award, it means the world to me,” Moore said, thanking his family, friends and listeners.
Council approved a proclamation saying Moore has made "an incalculable impact on Pittsburgh's journalism...radio and culture."
“I think I’ve shined a light on some of the positive things that this community has had to offer, especially in the African American community,” said Moore.
The proclamation recognizes Moore's work in broadcasting as well as his support of his wife's New Horizon Theater.
Chris retired from KDKA Radio on February 15 after 32 years with the station.
