
Investigations are underway after two fires in the Pittsburgh area over the past day.
A three-alarm fire broke out at a nine-story apartment on the 2400 block of Perrysville Avenue just after 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
The first started in the kitchen on the eighth floor. It was contained mainly to that apartment.
The resident was evacuated safely. Other residents on the floor sheltered in place.
The fire was extinguished after 8:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
in Stowe Township Tuesday evening, Flames ripped through an apartment complex.
The flames broke out in the 700 block of Broadway Avenue.
A resident suffering from smoke inhalation was taken to a hospital, condition unknown and a firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation.
Nothing yet on damage to the structure.
