A huge fire ripped through a Beaver County dairy Thursday evening.
Fire crews were called to Brunton Dairy in Independence Township around 5 p.m.
The milking barn and bottling plant were destroyed.
Some cows were killed but most were led outside by a neighbor.
No humans were injured.
The farm is part of a tight-knit community and a GoFundMe has been started to help the family-owned business.
“Many of us can say, this family is one of our own! We are all here to support them,” a message on GoFundMe said.
Brunton Dairy has been family-owned for seven generations. Their milk is sold at Giant Eagle and several other retailers.
The farm began in 1839 when “Bill” Brunton bought land in Independence Township.
The family has been farming on the land since 1869.
