A former North Braddock and Blawnox police officer pleaded guilty to theft, said Pennsylvania State Attorney General Josh Shapiro.
Joseph Lynn admitted he stole money that was seized as evidence as part of a Blawnox criminal investigation.
"Joseph Lynn's actions betray the hard work and integrity of the men and women in the North Braddock and Blawnox police departments," said Attorney General Shapiro in a release. "Enforcing the law does not put you above it. We will continue to prosecute anyone committing these thefts, without fear or favor."
Lynn will serve probation and is not allowed to gain employment as a police officer.
