
Wednesday, March 20 is going to be a beautiful, and free day, in the neighborhood.
The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh has announced free admission on Wednesday to celebrate Fred Rogers’ birthday.
The Children’s Museum features items from “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood”.
Those items include original puppets from the program, along with one of his iconic sweaters, songbooks, photos and more.
Wednesday would’ve been Mr. Rogers’ 96th birthday. He was born in Latrobe, PA in 1928.
The longtime children’s television host died on February 27, 2003 from stomach cancer.
Rogers’ has inspired countless other programs and his “Fred Rogers Productions” company continues his legacy today through shows like “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” and more.
The Children’s Museum is located at 10 Children’s Way in Allegheny Square on the North Side and is open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily.
