This amazing little girl has been cancer-free since September, nearly two years after her fight began.
At age 4, Zoe Ward was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and had to start treatment at UPMC Children's Hospital.Asterria Ward
Before Zoe Ward could start chemotherapy, radiation, and undergo surgery her mother had to make a quick decision. Doctors gave Asterria Ward the option to have her daughter's eggs harvested and frozen before the life-saving treatment that would essentially take away Zoe's ability to have children.

Asterria is a single mom with three children at home, not to mention the fact that she hasn't been able to work much throughout Zoe's treatments. To ease some of the financial burden, our friends at the Bowser Family Foundation really stepped up. They paid the storage cost for Zoe's eggs for the next 20 years! That means mom won't have to worry about the cost and when Zoe is in her late twenties, she'll be able to decide what happens next.
