This is how they're navigating the pandemic challenges and how you can get your Greek food to go.
This is not the 60th-anniversary plan anyone had in mind for the Greek Food Festival at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood.
The annual festival is the only way the church raises money to pay for essentials like building maintenance, utilities, and maybe more importantly, its community programs.
With pandemic precautions and restrictions in place they simply couldn't do it like they've always done, inviting the community to pack the church grounds for a big celebration. Instead, they had to get creative. That's how "Greek2Go Days!" were created.

Missing is the live music, the dancing, the gathering of people that normally happens every year... but the food? Oh the food is still here. "Greek2Go Days!" is a monthly event where you can get your favorite Greek foods to go and now you can even order them in person or do it online and schedule your pickup time.
In the video on this page, Parish Council President Vasili Copetas takes us through the kitchen where they're preparing for the May 6-8th event. You've got to see his sweet 84-year-old mother rolling grape leaves.
