Historic confirmation hearings continue today for Supreme Court nominee Kentanji Brown Jackson.

On the second day of hearings, and the first day of questioning, Judge Brown Jackson maintained she would rule with neutrality, pushing back against GOP suggestions she gave too light of sentences to child pornographers and has a judicial philosophy that is too liberal.
Duquesne University President Ken Gormley said these hearings can be extremely partisan, but we can still focus on the nominee.
“Much of this is political at this point, but it is a great opportunity to be introduced to the person’s temperament and see how they handle themselves.”
Brown Jackson will undergo a second day of questioning Wednesday. Then the committee will hear from legal experts Thursday.
Democrats, who control the Senate - are hopeful to wrap her confirmation before Easter.
