Kennywood and Sandcastle will soon be opening for the 2021 season and to prepare for it, they're looking to hire seasonal employees.
The parks plan to hire 1,500 people for areas that include lifeguards, rides, food & beverage, games & retail, grounds, and public safety.
“We have opportunities that make a great fit for all career stages,” says Joe Barron, Human Resources Director for Kennywood and Sandcastle. “So many young people jumpstart their career thanks to the hands-on experience you get, and it’s also a great way for senior citizens to stay connected.”
To apply, visit the employment pages of Kennywood or Sandcastle.
Kennywood opens on May 8 and Sandcastle opens on May 29 for Memorial Day Weekend.
This year, Kennywood says the Steel Curtain will be up & running as will the parks largest non-roller coaster, Black Widow.
In addition, Kennywood will introduce the Bites & Pints Food Festival during which park visitors can sample food and drinks each weekend in June.
Also returning this year is the Fall Fantasy parade which features local marching bands.
One change coming to Kennywood this season is the requirement of adult chaperones for kids 17 and under who are in the park after 4pm.
