Lane restrictions are coming to the Parkway East this weekend.
PennDOT District 11 announced lane restrictions and tonight between Monroeville/Business Route 22 (Exit 80) interchange and the bridge over Old William Penn Highway.
Penndot's Assistant Director for Construction Doug Thompson, tells KDKA Radio “This Friday night starting at 9 p.m., continuously through Monday morning at 5 a.m., we’ll be taking traffic down in both directions to a single lane.”
Crews will reconstruct concrete bridge approach slabs. This work is part of the $70.1 million I-376 Parkway East Betterment Project.
There will be shoulder restrictions on Monday and Tuesday on the Parkway East.
That work will be between the Edgewood/Swissvale (Exit 77) interchange and the Squirrel Hill Tunnel and associated Edgewood/Swissvale interchange ramps from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
