President Joe Biden warned the threat of a Russian invasion into Ukraine is high and a local Ukrainian community is feeling the impacts.
George Honchar is the President of the Ukranian Technological Society. His stepson still lives in Ukraine, closer to the western border with Poland.
Honchar says he and his wife are constantly keeping close tabs on the rising tensions between Ukraine and Russia.
"We're always fearful and waking up to see that we might hear and see bad news. So, we're watching all the time," Honchar said.
"Ukraine would be terribly devastated, because although they would fight to the death, it would just be so one-sided. It would be so terrible."
World leaders are now questioning Russian claims that they moved some troops back to base. Russia is believed to have 15,000 forces around Ukraine's border.
