Two major residential projects involving more than 260 apartments are in the works in the Strip District.
The P-G reports Hullett Properties is proposing to build a 179-unit apartment complex at a lampshade warehouse site at 50 26th St. And at 2926 Smallman St.
Penrose Advisors is preparing to construct an 84-unit apartment building at an old filling station for natural gas-powered vehicles.
The proposal will also offer 180 spaces for vehicles and 60 for bicycles in its development plans.
Both proposals are expected to go before the Pittsburgh Planning Commission on Tuesday for briefings.
There currently is no timetable for the development process of the apartments.
