Investigators say 23-year-old Matthew Alfaro was driving a Chevy Malibu that followed the victim's vehicle down Monroeville Boulevard to the intersection of Oak Avenue Extension in Turtle Creek.

They say that's when Alfaro opened fire, hitting the 42-year-old victim, who went to the Turtle Creek police station Sunday night to report the incident.

He had a gunshot wound to his shoulder and is in stable condition after he was taken to the hospital.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim told police he accidentally cut off Alfaro in traffic and then he heard a loud pop and felt a sharp pain in his back.

The police charged Alfaro with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and carrying a firearm without a license.
